movement

As a maker Luke’s work focuses on the choreography of people, place and thought, underpinned by research concerned with finding language for loss. Drawing from practices of listening, care and conversation with human and more-than-human bodies as beginnings for exploring physical and emotional landscapes, Luke works with text and touch to create sensorial poetries, quiet queerings, spaces of refuge and resistance to inhabit and pass through, describing these projects as intimate encounters in a certain light.

As a dramaturg and company associate Luke has been a companion, in a range of creative processes, to artists and organisations whose practices are centred in dance, choreography, the choreographic, movement, physical theatre and live art.
